now, KS&G have made their donation. it’s time you did the same.

…you can donate to that worthiest of causes (me) even without a paypal account. all you need is a credit card! have at it….

and don’t let this deter your donations: i got a temporary position today…. starting tomorrow. not sure exactly what i’ll be doing, nor for how long, but it pays weekly, and in american currency. what more could i ask for?

of course, now i have to alter my sleeping schedule to fit in with the square world. 🙂

as much as i appreciate your sympathy….

…i appreciate your money more. 🙂

come on, i know you’ve got all that christmas money just burning a hole in your pockets…. no? oh well. you can’t blame a guy for trying….

…it’s cuz things aren’t going all that well. things with chia-jung and me are great, but things with jersey and me are not so fantastic.

people kinda suck here. the place is pretty…. eh, this is the reason i haven’t written.

so, instead, allow me to amuse you with the bumper sticker i saw the other day:

between two american flags, it read, “GOD MAY HAVE MERCY ON YOU BUT WE SURE AS HELL WON’T”

and i wanted, desperately, to move back to chicago.

Listening to NJN (New Jersey News) on the local NPR today and there was a story about a campaign to raise women’s awareness of heart disease (the number one killer of women in the US). The reporter asked a woman (local store owner so-and-so) why the issue was so important to her:

“Someone collapsed in my store last week….. And I thought, ‘That could have been a woman.’…. Even though, you know, it was a man.”

It just about killed me. I wonder if the reporter actually listened to the bit before she included it in her story….

quite a game, though i missed the surprise ending. best commentator quote:

“It’s hard for any quarterback to half a good day when a defense is playing well.”

or something along those lines. as good a tautology as “the team that puts the most points on the board will win this game”

you’ll need windows media player to watch this

a grand tour of my apartment (from a corded camera on my desk)

dave tells me about these g.i. joe videos that have had their audio replaced and i think they’re absolutely brilliant, having grown up watching those things. then he suggests we make a website that collects big internet phenomena (e.g. Mahir, dancing baby, monsters-chasing-kittens) and users can create a profile that tracks when they learned about the things….

“it would have the side effect of being a great place to find all the dumb shit that’s huge on the net. see, it’s heisenbergian in its nature. we’ll be increasing the intelligence of the web community as we measure it”

all this from India, folks. amazing.
