Listening to NJN (New Jersey News) on the local NPR today and there was a story about a campaign to raise women’s awareness of heart disease (the number one killer of women in the US). The reporter asked a woman (local store owner so-and-so) why the issue was so important to her:

“Someone collapsed in my store last week….. And I thought, ‘That could have been a woman.’…. Even though, you know, it was a man.”

It just about killed me. I wonder if the reporter actually listened to the bit before she included it in her story….
