I get in the mail today:

• my Comcast cable bill
• another envelope from Comcast marked “Personal and Confidential.” What could this be? Those test results from the Comcast health clinic? I open it — a letter that begins, “Dear friend, your television has been without cable for too long….”

So, I can’t help but think that my cable bill might be lower if they weren’t spending money trying to sell me cable.
