Over the years, I’ve been blessed with many great friends, and these are amongst the best.<\/p>\n

Today, for the first time in the 6 years I’ve done NaNoWriMo, I actually wrote with another Nano’er. Wendy and I met over at Stella for gigantic bowls of coffee and some writing discussion and some writing. As much as I talk about NaNoWriMo with people, I don’t know a whole lot of people who are actually doing it. It was nice to get out of the house, off the couch (and onto another couch), break some of the isolationism of writing, turn it into a social event, exchange some ideas. Wrote exactly 1000 words. Here are a few of them:<\/p>\n

\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I see. And yet, I know an employee who is salaried and also receives — \u00e2\u20ac\u0153 I stopped mid-sentence. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Tammy, we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re going around in circles here.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153If Therese has a different arrangement, that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s her business. If I were you, like I said, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d pay more attention to my own business.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d
\nUnder my breath, I said, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153If you were me, you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d be good looking. And thinner.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153What was that?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Tammy asked, her face reddening.
